Caterers Of Home Grown Feeding Programme Enjoined To Partner Anambra Farmers

The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Agriculture, Mechanization, Processing and Export, Mr Leo Imoka, has called on caterers in Home Grown Feeding Programme, to liaise with farmers to achieve the required result. He made the call during a meeting between the farmers and caterers in the Home Grown Feeding Programme, at Otuocha in Anambra East Local Government Area. The Permanent Secretary who was represented by Mrs Obiageli Okeke as saying that the Ministry initiated the partnership to ensure best practices in the Home Grown School Feeding Programme as it will enable Caterers to buy healthy food stuffs directly from farmers. The Programme Manager of the Home Grown Feeding Initiative , Mrs Ngozi Ekwedike explained that it is a social investment programme of the Federal Government aimed at enhancing food sufficiency by local farmers and use of the farmer’s produce in feeding the school children. ABS CEO Nworah Charges Youths To Explore Opportunities In Creative Industry

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Mr Uche Nworah, has called on youths to show more interest in the creative industry. He made the call at the grand finale of an Insight -Writing and Story-telling competition in Awka. Mr Nworah , who was represented by Mr Eze Onwuji reiterated that the creative industry has a great potential of creating employment opportunities for the youths. He expressed the readiness of the Anambra Broadcasting Service to partner with young people in promoting their talents. Army General who Threatened to 'kill' President Buhari Lands in Trouble

For allegedly threatening to kill President Muhammadu Buhari over a contract, Brigadier-General Lym Hassan has landed himself in trouble. An army general who was secretly recorded allegedly threatening to “eliminate” President Muhammadu Buhari over a defence contract has found himself in serious trouble as he is about to be secretly court-marshalled over the incident, according to a report by TheCable. In the report, Brigadier-General Lym Hassan, who is the coordinator of peace keeping at the ministry of defence was arraigned before the military court on October 30, 2017 and charged with two allegations: spreading rumours that Buhari was dead and demanding $600,000 bribe from a defence contractor. UI finally produces 1st first class graduate in History after 69 years of establishment

For the first time in 69 years, the University of Ibadan has produced its first graduate with a First Class honours degree in History. NAIJ.com gathered that the university’s vice-chancellor, Idowu Olayinka, said Ozibo Ekele of the Department of History was one of the 186 students who earned First Class degrees at the 2015/2016 convocation ceremonies, which began on Monday, November 13, in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state. The vice chancellor said 5,629 students graduated in various academic programmes from 12 faculties, including the Distance Learning Centre at the convocation. According to him, 186 passed with first class honours, 1,538 finished with Second Class Upper, while 3,133 finished with Second Class Lower. Similarly, 434 students finished with Third Class, while 81 others graduated with Pass degrees.
