Buratai charges soldiers to imbibe reading, writing cultures

Chief Of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, has charged officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army to imbibe the culture of reading and writing for the benefit of the service and the society. Gen. Buratai gave the charge at a book launch “Moment of Thought”, written by the commander 7, Guards Battalion, Lieutenant-Colonel Abubakar Sadiq Bugaje, in Abuja. Buratai, while noting that the Nigerian army has over the years made policies aimed at enhancing service personnel in creativity and innovation, said the result gotten so far has been very encouraging. He commended the author for finding time despite his busy schedule to write and publish the book saying “the content of the book showcases the army as an institution characterized by intellectual in almost all fields of life. Talented Port Harcourt-based teenager constructs a car from carton

Nigeria may be known as the giant of Africa with diverse cultures and natural resources. However, this may not be all the country has got to offer. Everyday, young people are showing off their budding talents in different aspects and we can't help but be amazed by it. Omenwa Chidozie Augustine, a teenager based in Anambra is one talented person quite different from the rest of them. The boy who studied at the University of Port Harcourt took to his Facebook page to share his latest innovation, a car made from carton. Chidozie, whose hope is to be known for his craft received a lot of encouraging words from people who have been impressed and inspired by his hard work. The pictures which have since gone viral and is currently trending received lots of positive reactions from the internet. Ahmadu Bello University graduate bags NNPC scholarship

Nigerian students both home and abroad have continued to make the nation proud with their extraordinary success all over the world. Saturday, November 25 saw Ahmadu Bello University at its 40th convocation ceremony graduate 8,260 students with 50 of them coming out with first class degree. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) offered automatic scholarship to the over all best student, Mr. Al-Amin Bashir-Bugaje, 23, who graduated from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering with a CGPA of 4.93, to study in any part of the world up to his PhD level.

Beautiful final year student of IMSU slumps and dies after her project defence

The Imo state University was recently thrown into mourning after the school lost one of its brilliant students to the cold hands of death. The deceased simply identified as Ogamba Angel Chiamaka was final year Chemistry student before her death. Late Ogamba, known for her great sense of humour, reportedly slumped and died on Friday, November 24th, just after her project defence Friends, classmates and family members have now taken to social media to pay tribute to her.
