Senate threatens to arrest IGP

Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Ibrahim Idris, may be arrested next week, if he fails to appear before the adhoc committee investigating allegations against the Police and the Police Service Commission (PSC).
Chairman of the adhoc committee, Senator Francis Alimikhena, said the IGP was summoned on the October 16 to appear before the panel to respond to allegations made against him by Senator Isah Hamman Misau.
Quoting Section 89 of the 1999 Constitution as amended, Alimikhena said nobody, including law courts can stop the Senate from carrying out its constitutional duties. He said the separation of powers guaranteed by law, makes it explicit.

Beautiful final year student of IMSU slumps and dies after her project defence

The Imo state University was recently thrown into mourning after the school lost one of its brilliant students to the cold hands of death. The deceased simply identified as Ogamba Angel Chiamaka was final year Chemistry student before her death. Late Ogamba, known for her great sense of humour, reportedly slumped and died on Friday, November 24th, just after her project defence Friends, classmates and family members have now taken to social media to pay tribute to her.

Couple who went to same school and served in same state set to wed

A Nigerian couple set to get married has won the hearts of everyone. The groom shared a post about their love story and it got everyone tripping. A Nigerian man identified as Excel-galaxy Ajah Anayo has shared his amazing story on Facebook. The young man talked about how he met the love of his life and how God had placed her in his environment from the beginning. According to Anayo, he had met Amara when they both got admission the same year into the same school. They attended the same fellowship in Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) and did not stop running into each other at various points in time.
