Ohaneze Ndigbo Calls For Collective Efforts Towards Achieving Igbo Agenda

Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of the State was agog, as the Executive of Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo was inaugurated for the council area.
The event which took place at the Anaedo Hall, Nnewi, started with courtesy visits to the Traditional Ruler of Nnewi, Igwe Kenneth Orizu, as well as a visit to corporate headquarters of the Chikason group.
Addressing the people of Nnewi, the President, Anambra State Chapter of Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene, explained that Ohaneze is a non political, Igbo socio-cultural association that is interested in forming a common front in the championing of the Igbo agenda.
Chief Okeke-Ogene who charged every Igbo man and woman, as well as youths, to identify with and support Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo financially and otherwise, to enable it achieve its goal which is the restoration of the dignity of the Igbo man, however, called on the New executive to spread the good message in Nnewi North and beyond.
Earlier in their separate contributions, the Traditional Ruler of Nnewi, Igwe Orizu identified lack of respect for elders' opinion by the younger generation as one of the major problems of the Igbos, called on youths to respect elders while the Chairman of Chikason Group, Chief Chika Okafor, prayed for peace, wisdom and unity of the Igbo people and Nigeria at Large.
