Obiano Urges Anambra Electorate To Preserve Political Heritage Of Ndigbo
Governor Willie Obiano says the upcoming election presents Ndi Anambra with an opportunity to make a bold statement towards preserving the political heritage of Ndigbo.
Governor Obiano disclosed this during a broadcast ahead of Saturday's Governorship election in Anambra State.
Governor Obiano, who noted that APGA remains the only political party Ndigbo can lay claim to, warned that its defeat in the upcoming election signals victory for people of other regions in their bloodless war to conquer Ndigbo economically and politically.
He called on Ndi Anambra to, as a matter of necessity; defend the party, which has placed the state on a steady course of development by voting for APGA massively and protecting their votes, as according to him, no sacrifice is too much to sustain the momentum of development achieved in the state.
The Governor emphasized that his government has taken governance from mere infrastructural development to fashioning out new philosophies of good governance in the areas of agriculture, investment promotion, economic growth, people's welfare, among numerous others.
He expressed appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari, members of the National Assembly as well as the generality of Ndi Anambra for reacting swiftly towards reinstating his senior Security details, noting that their actions show belief in the growth of the nation beyond primordial interests.
The Governor used the broadcast to remind his fellow contestants across other political parties that none of their ambitions is worth the blood of any individual and urged them to allow the will of the people to prevail.
