He spoke when he attended a church service to mark the 2017 Annual Convention of The Word Ministries, Onitsha. Governor Obiano emphasized that his administration has carefully implemented its blueprint for the development of the State, which has resulted in its visible transformation. The Governor further explained that the ongoing registration of unemployed youths across the state is to enable government plan properly in its budget, adding that the data realized will also be useful in the establishment of various skill acquisition centres across the State. He noted that although the state is not yet where it ought to be, it has significantly advanced under his watch, urging the people to support his second term bid as he has a lot of plan for the State. In a remark the Chairman of the Governor's re-election campaign committee, Chief Victor Umeh acknowledged that the story of Anambra State under Governor Obiano has been that of sustained progress. The Pastor in Charge of the Church, Pastor Patrick Okoye, expressed appreciation to the Governor for honouring their invitation, which he said has re-enforced his humility and passion to always identify with his people. Pastor Okoye while commending the Governor's giant strides across key sectors of the economy especially in Agriculture, investments promotion and education, said it is only proper for Ndi Anambra to reward him with their votes to ensure that he returns for a second term. The Governor was during the event presented with a souvenir by the church before special prayers were offered for him and for the continued growth and development of the State.
